Short for Movement Natural (the order it would be in the native French tongue of Erwan), MovNat is all about fixing the zoo human syndrome. You know the zoo human, they get little movement and spend their life cooped up inside a cage instead of roaming free outside. Erwan Le Corre, founder of MovNat, looks to rehabilitate the zoo human by rehabilitating them in the 12 fundamental movements required in the wild: walking, running, jumping, climbing, quadrupedal movement, balancing, lifting, throwing, self-defense, and swimming. His training works on these concepts while doing it in a mindful and instinctual way. It sounds like perfect training for the Jedi.

The entire system is fairly new and in development but he will be releasing a book later. I can’t wait to read it. Here is a video showing the principles of training in MovNat:

MovNat is now based in Boulder, Colorado, just up the road from me on Highway 36. I am hoping to have the opportunity to train in MovNat with Erway this spring or summer.
