It has been 18 months since my last post to this website. It has been 18 months since I have published my book. What has been going on in these last 18 months? A whole lot of soul-searching and seeking the guidance of the Force to determine, “Where do we go from here?”

Here we are, less than a week from the opening of The Last Jedi, and much has happened in the last 18 months. Rogue One was released  (and it was such a good movie), numerous canon books have been published, and news of theme parks, video games, other movies, and a live action television show have all been made or are in the works.

On the personal front, I have been busy with other projects while still thinking about my book, this website, and how to develop them further.  While there still are some things left to be decided upon, here is a short list of what I see happening in the next 18 months.

1. With the announcement that the next trilogy will not involve a Skywalker, my plan now is to leave the book as is and perform a rewrite after the release after the final movie of the sequel trilogy.  It sounds to me that if the Jedi are to end,  Luke will have learned to remove the duality from the Force and the desire to control it.  We have two movies to see how this will play out, but it is something that I mentioned in my book and I would like to expand upon it as the movies are released.  Just like Lucas, I always felt that my project should have been more developed than it was and I want to improve upon it. The new version of the ebook will be fre to those who have already purchased it.

2. Amazon now allows me the option to make a print version of my book. I’m going to wait until after the sequel trilogy is completed before formatting the book that way. I will also attempt to get it published traditionally again.

3. I had planned on doing a redesign of the website, and I still might do it, but right now that is on hold.  I don’t know if I can justify keeping the website operational without commercial success of the book when I can use social media and other free options to broadcast the message.

4. Because of 3, I plan on moving all information I had planned for the website to the book via hyperlinks and appendices.

So there you have my plans as of right now in a nutshell. The movie next week could totally change my mind, we will just have to wait-and-see. But I felt that 18 months without a post has been significantly way too long.  I would like to return to daily or weekly posts but I don’t know if I have the free time right now to allow that.  Only time will tell.

Thanks for reading. Go out and enjoy the movie and let me know what you think of it. Be sure to follow my Facebook and Twitter sites and ensure that you always see content from them just in case this website disappears next summer.
